Codak Smith

Codak Smith makes tattoos mainly in blackwork, abstract, and contemporary linework. He became fascinated with lines in childhood when he read comic books and rode the bus through his native Portland, Oregon. Codak saw lines as something mysterious and indefinite, something with endless possibilities. In 1988, he became interested in graffiti, which led him to pursue a degree in graphic design. After that, he became interested in painting and realized himself in various media, including tattooing, creating his style. Codak works as a tattoo artist at Logan Square Tattoo in Chicago, Illinois.
