James Motz

James Motz has been a licensed tattoo artist since 2015. Motz relocated to Rochester and started working as a full-time tattoo artist after managing the famed New York Adorned for seven years. Before returning to western New York in 2017, he spent a brief amount of time at Cork City, Ireland’s Love Hate Social Club in 2016. Afterward, until January 2022, he was employed at Pyramid Arts in Rochester. Now, Motz is performing real tattoos in authentic American traditional, Japanese style motifs and religious imagery at Devotion Tattoo in Denver, Colorado. Working-class tattoo artist Motz takes pride in treating his customers with consideration and respect. He is eager to make his clients’ ideas come to life.
