Information

After receiving his first tattoo in 1989, Fatty knew that he wanted to make this a career. In 1991 and by 1995 he had opened up Fatty’s Custom Tattoos with a focus on skin tattoo artistry and piercing services.

In 1996, Fatty began his body art legislation work to advocate for common sense tattooing regulations in Maryland. In response to DC government overreach and as part of fighting back against laws being passed that would restrict professional practices related specifically around tattoos & piercing (among others), this determined individual formed the DC Coalition Of Professional Body Art Practitioners. Starting in 2002, he won numerous awards providing him with a distinct edge when competing against other artists that were also trying their best at what they do.

In 2015 we opened up a 3rd location — this time it was in Maryland! Fatty’s not slowing down anytime soon either; you can find him immersed creatively as he orchestrates large-scale biomechanical tattoos with Japanese designs or creates mythological masterpieces for those looking for something more unusual than average realism work.

Style: large-scale biomechanical, Japanese, mythological, dark art, psychedelic, realism
